Privacy
This policy is waiting for legal review and is not in effect yet.
TimeSpace runs Gold Rush, a time travel experience at PIER 39 in San Francisco. TimeSpace is operated by Superspatial, Inc. ("we"). This policy covers timespace.world, your tickets, your visit page, our emails and texts, and your visit at our counter.
What we collect, and why
- Your booking. The name and email address of the person who books, the first name and age group (13 to 17, or adult) of each guest, and the time of the visit. We use them to issue tickets and run the visit.
- Your account. The person who books signs in with Google, or with an email address and password. We keep the name and email address on the account.
- The waiver. Who signed, when, from which IP address, and the exact version of the waiver they agreed to. You get a PDF copy by email.
- The equipment hold. Stripe takes your card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We see whether the hold is placed, released or charged. We never receive your card number.
- Your photo ID. The attendant looks at it at the counter. We record only that it was checked and what kind of ID it was. We keep no copy of it, its number or your date of birth.
- Mobile numbers, if you sign up for texts. We use them only for the texts described below.
- Photos of the equipment. The attendant photographs each set when it goes out and when it comes back, as the record of its condition.
- A record of the visit. Which tickets were scanned, which equipment each guest used, the hold, the texts sent and received, the return, and which attendant did each step. It is the evidence if equipment comes back damaged.
- Your photos and video from the visit, which we send you a link to afterwards.
- Survey answers, if you answer questions after the show. They are stored with your ticket and seat, not your name or contact details.
To understand how visits go, we study ticket numbers, time slots, seats and survey answers without names, email addresses or phone numbers. The staff at the counter see first names and age groups only.
Text messages
We text a number only after its owner signs it up: the person who books ticks a box, unticked by default, next to their own number, and each guest texts TICKET and their ticket code to (510) 288-6223from their own phone. Nobody can sign up someone else's number. Each number then gets texts about that visit only:
- a note that your party's equipment is ready at the counter (to the person who booked)
- a receipt when the equipment hold is released or settled (to the person who booked)
- your own ticket, right after you text us
- a link to your photos and video after the visit
About 5 messages per visit. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. We keep a record of a STOP so we never text that number again unless you reply START.
We use mobile numbers only to send these texts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Twilio delivers our texts for us. More on our texts: timespace.world/sms.
Who else handles your information
These companies handle parts of it for us, only to provide their service: pretix (tickets and check-in), Stripe (the equipment hold), Twilio (texts), Postmark (email) and Google (sign-in and the servers this site runs on).
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. If you dispute an equipment charge with your bank, we send the record of that visit to Stripe and your bank. We also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Photos of the equipment: deleted when your sets come back clean, or kept until a charge can no longer be disputed.
- Waivers: for as long as the law needs us to keep them.
- Mobile numbers: deleted 90 days after your visit. A record of a STOP is kept so we honor it.
- Your account and bookings: until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
Write to help@timespace.world to get a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We answer within 30 days. A few records we must keep, such as a signed waiver or the record of a disputed charge, and we'll tell you which.
Guests under 18
Guests must be 13 or older. An adult books for guests aged 13 to 17 and signs the waiver for them. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top of this page.
